Vintage Bentwood Piano Stool/Swivel Stool, J.&J. Kohn, ca. 1920
Bentwood stool from the 1st half of the 20th century, Jacob & Josef Kohn (Austria - Hungary).
The piano stool is made of solid beech wood and has a seat made of Viennese mesh. The thread of the braid is synthetic and probably renewed. The surface is black and provided with shellac. The stool is very stable and can be adjusted in height from 46 cm to about 64 cm with the help of a steel spindle. The curved feet of the wide foot are held together at the bottom by a wooden cross. The stool is technically in very good condition, the spindle has little play and runs well. The shellac surface shows clear signs of wear, or is no longer present in many places, see photos - beautiful vintage condition. The stool is marked in the seat ring with the Kohn embossing stamp.
