High bentwood stool from the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century of the company Jacob & Josef Kohn (Austria - Hungary). Kohn was Thonet's competitor company, which temporarily merged with Thonet after the 1st World War in the course of the World Economic Crisis. The piano stool is made of solid beech wood and has a seat made of hand-woven Viennese mesh. The seat was professionally renewed in a Schwerin chair weaving mill. The wooden surfaces are stained (oak) and painted with shelling. The stool is stable, all wood connections have been checked and tightened. The stool is provided with the original Kohn embossed stamp under the seat. Beautiful collector's item in good, refurbished condition with patina on the wooden surface.
Note the seat height of 52 cm - about 7 cm higher than usual! Use as a piano and organ stool or for work tables or others
