Exceptional Art Deco piano lamp/table lamp, probably from the 1930s with a decorated shade opening and curved base. The lamp is made of brass and has a heavy base. The shade can be tilted and locked in place using a wing screw - left-hand thread! The lamp is switched on and off using a rotary switch on the base. The lamp is very solidly made and is in good, functional condition with slight signs of aging on the brass. The wiring has probably been renewed at some point - now 3-core with a protective conductor. The lamp still has a working small old bulb, but can also be operated with an LED flashlight - included.
