Design classic of the 70s: Massive table lamp/piano lamp by Egon Hillebrand, Neheim, West Germany, 1970s, model type 7383-231.
The lamp has a heavy metal base with a black lacquer finish. The surface is textured and resembles the crinkle-finish lacquer of the 1950s. The shade has a smooth black lacquer finish and can be tilted via a joint. Another joint is located at the base of the chrome-plated lamp neck. Both joints are adjustable. The wide lamp has two E14 plastic sockets. The lamp is switched on and off via a large chrome-plated push-button switch in the center of the base. The lamp is very solidly constructed and in very good condition; a manufacturer's label is even still attached to the base – see photos.
