Design classic from the 1960s - 70s: Extremely rare model of a table lamp/piano lamp by Leclaire&Schäfer, Neheim, West Germany, type 5554-2.
The lamp has a heavy, black metal base with a chrome-plated inlay plate on top. The surface is textured and resembles the wrinkle-lacquer finishes of the 1950s.
The shade features a smooth black finish, perforations on the top, and a frosted glass panel on the bottom. This ensures glare-free light. The shade can be tilted using a joint. Another joint is located at the base of the chrome-plated lamp neck. Both joints are adjustable.
The wide lamp has two E 14 plastic sockets and is switched on and off via a push button switch on the base.
The lamp is very solidly made and is in very good, almost new condition, see photos.
Only the felt pad under the foot was replaced; the original felt can still be seen in picture 9.
