A very rare vintage swivel stool made of metal and Bakelite in good condition. Designed by Jean Prouvé in 1930 for AB Odelberg Olsen, Sweden. With this groundbreaking design, Prouvé was far ahead of his time. The Bakelite seat has a glossy finish. The chair legs are painted matte black, and the Bakelite surface on the underside has some chipping.
The spindle is secured with a metal lock nut, preventing the seat from wobbling.
