A wonderful Bauhaus-style lamp from the 1950s: a large table lamp by the Joseph Brumberg Sundern (JBS) company from West Germany (Sauerland region). This lamp is often also attributed to Egon Hillebrand. The very solid lamp is distinguished by its entirely brass surface. It has a heavy base with a metal core and a curved neck with a domed brass shade. The large shade provides bright, pleasantly glare-free light. The lamp is in very good original condition with only minor scratches and some dark spots on the brass surfaces. The design of the base suggests that this is likely one of the rare last models of this lamp: the older models have only a simple push-button switch and slight profiling on the vertical edge.
