A wonderful Bauhaus-style lamp from the 1950s: a large table lamp by Joseph Brumberg Sundern (JBS) from the Sauerland region of West Germany. This lamp is often attributed to Egon Hillebrand. The very solid lamp impresses with its surface, made entirely of brass. It features a heavy base with a metal core and a curved neck with a domed brass shade. The large shade provides a bright, pleasantly glare-free light. The lamp is in very good original condition with only minor scratches and a few dark spots on the brass surfaces. The design of the base suggests that this is probably one of the last rare models of this lamp: the older models have only a simple push button switch and a slight profiling on the vertical edge.
