High-quality, elegant table lamp with a brass base and an Art Deco shade by Muller Frères, Luneville, France. This company is renowned for its high quality. The shade dates from the 1930s and is multicolored, created using the pâte de verre technique.
Glass paste (also known as glass melt) is a technique used in the production of multicolored glass and one of the basic variations of the process known as "fusing." In this process, a cold-formed paste of glass powder and colorants is poured into a refractory mold and then fired in a muffle furnace, during which the glass melts into the desired shape. To achieve polychrome color effects, the process is repeated with other colors.
The umbrella has some scratches and a few very small chips on the edge - see pictures.
The electrical system has been renewed.
